Clear before you share
Booking privacy.
This notice explains what happens to the details you provide when you use the Shark Aesthetics website or reserve Snatched Saturdays.
Who is responsible for your information
Shark Aesthetics is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. The clinic is based in Birmingham.
For a privacy question or rights request, message @sharkaesthetics_. Anna will give you a private contact route if your request includes sensitive information.
What the Saturday reservation collects
The online reservation uses:
- your name, email address and UK mobile number;
- your selected treatment area and course price;
- the three appointment dates you choose; and
- limited technical information used to protect the form, run the site and understand general website use.
The Saturday page does not ask for your medical history, clinical photographs or treatment consent. Those details are completed privately through Faces before you arrive.
Why it is used
Booking details are used to show suitable diary times, reserve all three appointments, send confirmations, arrange the Faces handoff, contact you about the course and keep an accurate booking record.
This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking agreement and to administer that agreement. Shark Aesthetics also has legitimate interests in protecting the diary from false bookings, keeping the service secure and understanding whether the website works correctly.
Health information is handled separately in Faces. The medical form and treatment consent explain how that information is used and ask for explicit consent where it is required.
Who receives it
Anna and authorised booking support can see the details needed to manage your appointments. A private booking alert is sent to the booking team so the Faces forms can be arranged.
Service providers may process information only to provide their part of the service. These currently include Cal.com for scheduling, Faces for medical forms and consent, Slack for the private team alert, Vercel for website hosting and Cloudflare for security and website analytics.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or when it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Booking details are not sold.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, Shark Aesthetics requires an appropriate transfer mechanism or another protection recognised by UK data protection law. You can ask for more information about the protection used for a particular provider.
How long it is kept
Booking information is kept for as long as it is needed to arrange and administer your course, answer a question, keep required business and financial records, manage a complaint or legal claim, and meet legal or insurance requirements. Security records are kept only for as long as they remain useful for preventing abuse.
Medical forms, consent records and clinical photographs follow the separate clinical record retention policy described through Faces.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, or for its use to stop. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier use.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell Shark Aesthetics what you object to and why.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Shark Aesthetics would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
What is required and how decisions are made
Name, contact details, treatment area and dates are required to place an online reservation. If you do not provide them, Anna can still discuss whether a manual enquiry is possible.
The website does not make a final treatment decision. Anna reviews suitability and consent. A reservation can be declined or changed after that human review.
